Mangrove Scarf Design
During my time at Hamzat Wasl Studio I was also given the task of designing a scarf with the theme of mangrove roots in mind. The project had to reflect the roots of the UAE and the beauty of the mangroves of the capital Abu Dhabi. Got a little creative and designed a few scarf that reflect my character yet still are within the specified style and theme.
DESIGN A: This one is personally my favorite. I selected two images of the mangroves and combined them without losing the character of the images. One is an up close image of the mangroves roots and a further shot that shows the running waters between the mangroves.
DESIGN B: This scarf is a collage that combines both historical and modern UAE's iconic buildings. HH Shaikh Zayed is one of the key builders of the UAE he also always encouraged his nation to plant trees and take care of the environment. Therefore, it was crucial to include him in this design.
DESIGN C: This scarf was also more focused on the theme of mangroves. I roughly sketched out tangled lines to represent the nature of mangrove roots. This used a drone picture of mangroves in Abu Dhabi as a background for the sketch.
