Hamzat Wasl Studio
Mnga is a project I worked on when interning at Hamzat Wasl Studio and Kyan Creative Studio. The project was a summer mango pop-up, which took place in Al Jada-Sharjah. Serving mango soft serve, mango sticky rice, mango milkshake and mango mojito. So all items on the menu were made using fresh mangos. For Mnga I worked on developing a logo design that clearly represented the brand theme. The brand theme was based on fruit stickers and that's where the ideation process for the logo started. The font selected was molded into the outline of a mango. I also ensured that the colors palette selected was very vibrant and gave of the summer spirit. Other parts of the project that I successfully contributed to were packaging design, staff uniform and brand visuals. Below I will be presenting mainly my process work and ideation for Mnga.

From a basic font to a logo your eye can't miss!
Logo Process
The process of developing Mnga's logo was one of my favorite processes. With the theme of fruit stickers in mind I decided to create a logo that reflected the same character yet stood out boldly. Scroll right to see the logo develop into it's complete and finalized form.
Color Palette
When putting a color palette together for Mnga. It was important that the colors selected were fresh, vibrant and lively. This reflects the brands character and gives out a message about the products quality expectations. The image of fresh and mouth watering mangos.
Summer is the season in which Mangos pop-up will take place. therefore the color palette has warm undertones of yellow, orange and red. Representing the fun summer spirit.

Brand Patterns
Here are a few patterns I worked on during the early stages of Mnga's branding. The patterns were inspired by the abstract shapes of mango forms. Where as the patterns above are more retro themed with a combination of both photography and solid colors.

For Mnga I illustrated up to 10 stickers that are also inspired by the theme of fruit stickers. These were used for packaging, social media posts, menu and more.

Fun yet clean style
Staff T-Shirt Design
We wanted to keep the t shirts very minimal and clean, yet was still fun. Therefore, the design incorporated both the brands logo and slogan. The t shirt design played around with both Arabic and English languages. The front side had the English logo outlined with the arabic slogan. However, the back had both the English and Arabic slogans overlapping one another.
Packaging
When designing and brainstorming packaging designs with the Hamzat Wasl Team, it was important for us to come up with designs that aimed to create a great in car dining experience. So a creative, fun and attractive label with yet super practical.
As part of the process I sketched out a few ideas that we tested out with the chef to see if they succeed the test or not.
